Get ready to laugh! Hi I'm Troy, thanks for listening to our podcast! “Troy Wilde Interviews” (TWI) features conversations with comics, and people connected to comedy, entertainment, and broadcasting. We also reserve the right to interview the occasional NCP (non-comedy person). Our goal is to put the spotlight on people who have the nerve, dare, and constant need for love and approval - compelling them to get up on stage, or in front of a camera, and try to make others laugh or entertain in some other way. I have a lifelong love of comedy, and that is what is fueling this podcast. My personal favorites are Redd Foxx, Don Rickles, David Lettermen, Arsenio Hall, Bernie Mac, Eddie Murphy, Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Richard Pryor, and of course, Johnny Carson. The point is the interview. Having a conversation - asking questions and getting answers. Finding what out drives people to do the things they do, make the choices they make, and in the process learn about their challenges, successes, and the failures. Let's face it, the funniest stuff usually comes from serious personal pain. Our demons can be pretty funny when filtered through a comic’s brain. People are interesting and everyone has a story to tell. The interview may be funny, serious or sad, but rest assured that it will not be boring. Troy Wilde (often cited as the love child of Howard Stern and Tom Brokaw), has 20 years of broadcasting experience, mostly morning radio, news, and some television stuff. He has also performed at the World Famous Comedy Store and other clubs. Troy has interviewed thousands of people, and asked millions of questions, in the process of covering stories that range from small town city council meetings to first degree murder trials, from the presidential elections of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama to the September eleventh attacks, from the deaths of Whitney Houston and Steve Jobs to the Facebook IPO, and from mass shootings to the U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage.
